Vikasganga Samajsevi Sansthaisa registered non-governmental, non-profit, voluntary organization was founded by a group of social activists in 1996 with the specific objectives to solve the Livelihood, NRM, and Educational issues, which are greatly interlinked. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act and also under the Bombay Public Trust act. It has a General Body and Executive Committee comprising of 14 and 7 members respectively. Its present area of operation Vikasganga Sanstha reaches out to 1,00,000 households across 657 villages of 37 blocks in the six distressed districts as Yavatmal, Amravati, Wardha, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, and Hingoli in Maharashtra.

Agricultural
- Motivation of farmers for adoption of BCI, IPM and Organic farming techniques
- Promotion of low cost and easily adoptable protective irrigation techniques
- Promotion of Farmer’s Producer Companies for productivity enhancement, value addition and marketing
Soil & Water conservation work
- Soil & Water conservation measures, rain water harvesting using innovative techniques for making availability of water for drinking and irrigation purpose
- Implementation of “Galmukt Dharan Galyukt Shiwar Abhiyan” to increase water storage capacity of Dam or Tank and use of silt for improving soil health
Women empowerment and child education
- Training and skill development of women for commencement of Custom Hiring Centre, conservation of crop biodiversity, seed production, processing of agriculture commodities for value addition, rearing of livestock
- Child rights protection, Improving learning outcomes in primary schools and facilitation for adoption of skills by youth
